You know I always have something to say on days like these, in days like these...
True independence cannot be defined by any hopped up alliterative slogan, loud-mouthed know-it-all pundit, or self-righteous bureaucratic government.
It is neither defined by Left nor Right,
nor by how loudly you can play Sousa.
Enjoy the food, fellowship, and fireworks,
Remember the deeds of those past,
but above all,
find yourself,
then you'll find freedom.
(Does anyone have that .gif of Hulk Hogan playing a guitar in front of the US flag? That more or less sums up what I'm saying...)
