This doesn't really need explanation. I think we were all genuinely hoping to get some Rapture news this year...and boy howdy... Same races, new world, and what appears to be much much higher adventure. Despite my initial disappointment with the MMO not being either another or a new IP, the visuals that have been shown in the initial trailer have already won me over. Word can't really express how much I want new info on FFXIV...hopefully SE will be more forthcoming this time around. It seems like, with 7 years of technology up on FFXI, FFXIV will bring a lot to the table.
-Star Wars: The Old Republic
Being an avid KOTOR fan, it's only be natural that I gravitate toward this game and the pretty constant flow of interviews and information that have been flowing from LucasArts and Bioware about their work on it...
Then I saw the new trailer. Holy smokes... Nothing gets the old blood movin' like a good Jedi v Sith throwdown. The sacking of Coruscant and the Jedi Temple is presented in top tier flare and style. This is on my radar for sure.
-Golden Sun DS
Heck Yeah.
I loved the original GS games, as they were, hands down, the best on the GBA platform. IIRC, Golden Sun was technically first gen GBA game. It blew everything else out of the water, with it's excellent visuals, fun battles, seamless progression, and puzzles that are actually fun to complete. Looking for no less quality for the DS brand.
-The Last Guardian
I didn't spend much time with ICO. I did spend a little more time with SoTC. The trailer for this once again brings atmosphere above all else. Will keep my eye on this one.
-New Super Mario Bros. Wii
As ridiculously awesome NSMB for DS was, this has got to be primo.
-GT5 & GT Mobile
5) Stock Cars and damage huh? Very nice, very nice.
Mobile) 3 years late to the party eh? Well, later is better than never...

Already looking forward to the PSN release...now there will be a PSP version. Rockin'

FFXI
Guess I gotta beat this game before getting all hype about FFXIV. Took another step closer to beating CoP by clearing 8-1 with our CoP static. Had an epic DBZ fight with the MNK aern (east pop) after our mages got killed by AoEs and Um...Um'pha...shark adds. I got him down to 2%, but ended up eating cermet. but that was enough for our PLD and BLU to take them out.
Also been having a ball on DRG. about 5k away from DRG 74. Should be able to get that without incident tonight, since I finally have a free day to xp. Anti-achievement: I ate a StonegaIV from Kirin for 2067 damage :D

Despite the blatantly sexualized meanderings of the mostly female cast, once you get a hang of the complex combat system, this game gets fun fun fun to play. Minimal presentation be damned, I'm enjoying this.

-New Teikuu track next week
-Will be working on the soundtrack for a short film project shortly. Results of that endeavor will be uploaded once it's ok'd.
-FFXIV remixes? Plausible. Admittedly, Uematsu's work is much more complex, making it harder to work with than Mizuta's (from a sampling perspective), but nothing that can't be done.
Life in General
-Possibly moving again at the end of the summer. One roomy may be moving out to help his family get through some troubled times. Another has recently gotten his Masters in CompE and he's gone through hell trying to get a decent job for a number of months.
